FWHV is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the Information (as defined below) collected from Users.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing the Website, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy without modification.

1. GENERAL

2. THE INFORMATION FWHV COLLECTS AND HOW FWHV COLLECTS IT

2.1. We collect different types of information depending on your interactions with the Website, including, without limitations (the “Information”):

2.1.1. Information about Volunteers. If you choose to register for one of our volunteer opportunities, we may collect your personal details, including, without limitations: contact information (full name, phone/mobile number, email address, gender, residential address), ID number, date of birth, details about your vehicle, languages spoken, profession, etc.

2.1.2. Information on Donations. If you choose to make a donation, you will be redirected to a third-party payment processor (such as IsraelGives). We do not collect or store financial information, except for the type of payment method used and the last four digits of your payment card.

2.1.3. Aid Applications. If you apply for aid through our online request form, we may collect different types of information depending on the nature of your request. This may include: contact details, details about your family members, income-related information, medical information, bank account details, etc.

2.1.4. Job Applications. If you apply for a position through our Website, we will collect your contact details and resume.

2.1.5. Newsletter Subscription. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will collect your email address (the “Newsletter”).

2.1.6. Browsing Activities. When you visit or interact with our Website, we may automatically collect certain information about your browsing activities. This may include device information (such as type, operating system, and browser version), IP address, pages visited, time spent on pages, navigation paths, referring and exit pages, cookies and tracking data, as well as system activity logs.

2.2. How Do we Collect Your Information?

3.WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION

3.1.The Information will be used in accordance with applicable laws for the following purposes:

3.1.1.To process applications submitted through the Website for various purposes, including but not limited to making donations, requesting aid, registering for volunteer opportunities, and applying for employment. This processing is necessary to evaluate, manage, and respond to such applications effectively.

3.1.2. Improve the functionality, design and quality of the Website and activities performed through the Website.

3.1.4. If a User has agreed to receive Newsletter from FWHV, we may use their Information to inform them about new features, functionalities, and services , as well as to send periodic updates, articles and newsletters.

3.1.5. Users may opt out of receiving Newsletter from FWHV by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email or by contacting FWHV as specified in Section 4 below. 3.1.6. To gather analysis or valuable information enabling FWHV to monitor the usage of the Website.

3.1.7. To promote the safety and security of user data and our systems. This includes verifying the authenticity of Users accessing the Website, detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities. 3.1.8. To link or combine the Information with other information it receives from third parties to help understand user needs and provide better service.

3.1.9. Internal record keeping.

3.1.10. FWHV may publish Users’ testimonials on the Website, which may include personally identifiable Information. By providing a testimonial to FWHV, the User expressly agrees and consents to FWHV displaying the User’s name alongside the testimonial. If a User wishes to update or remove their testimonial, they may contact FWHV as specified in Section 4 below.

3.2. Anonymized Information

4.2. Please note that even if you opt out of receiving Newsletters, FWHV may continue to send essential communications related to your activities, donations, or other interactions with FWHV, including via postal mail.

4.3. Users who wish to have their testimonials removed from the Website may submit a request by sending an email to info@k-shoa.org FWHV will process such requests within a reasonable timeframe.

5. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

5.1. FWHV may transfer and store User Information outside of the country in which it was originally collected, including to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. This includes transfers to FWHV’s affiliates, partners, donors, and third-party service providers located in the United States, Europe, and other jurisdictions.

6. USER RIGHTS TO ACCESS AND CORRECT INFORMATION

FWHV will review and respond to such requests within a reasonable timeframe, at its sole discretion, and subject to the applicable law. If FWHV declines a request, it will notify the User of its decision within no more than thirty (30) days.

7. SPECIFIC PROVISIONS FOR USERS FROM ISRAEL, UNDER THE ISRAELI PROTECTION OF PRIVACY ACT, 5741-1981.

7.1. If you are an Israeli resident, please note that we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process information as described in this Privacy Policy, with your consent where required by applicable law.

7.2. Users are under no legal obligation to provide FWHV with any information. However, if you choose not to provide the requested data categories, some or all of the features and functionalities of the Website may not be available to you.

7.4. 7.6. If FWHV declines your request in accordance with the PPA, we will notify you of the decision and the reasons for it, following the procedures prescribed by the PPA and applicable regulations.

7.7. FWHV may require Users to provide certain credentials or verification documents to confirm their identity before processing any requests related to reviewing or modifying their Information.

8. INFORMATION RETENTION

8.1. FWHV will retain Users’ Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. 10.1. FWHV uses industry standard security measures to protect the Information against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures include internal reviews of the Information collection, storage and processing practices and security measures. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, FWHV cannot guarantee the absolute security of the Information.

10.2. FWHV restricts access to the Information to FWHV’s employees, contractors and agents who need to know such Information. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and FWHV requires all of them to agree to use the Information solely for the purpose for which it was initially provided to them, and strictly in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

11.1. Users must be at least sixteen (16) years old to access FWHV’s Website. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) may only use the Website with parental or legal guardian consent (collectively, “Children“).

11.2. FWHV does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of eighteen (18). If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided FWHV with any Information, they should contact FWHV immediately. If FWHV discovers that it has collected Information from a Child without verified parental consent, it will take appropriate steps to delete such information from its servers.

All disputes arising out of this Privacy Policy will be subject to the governing laws of the State of Israel, and the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in the city of Tel Aviv – Jaffa, Israel. The parties agree and submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction and venue of these courts, except that nothing will prohibit either party from instituting an action in any court of competent jurisdiction to obtain injunctive relief or protect or enforce its intellectual property rights. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to the Terms.

The copyrights in this publication, and any other information or content (including, without limitations, photos, videos, surveys, articles, etc.) provided through the Website are owned by FWHV, and they may not be copied, downloaded, reproduced, used, modified or distributed in any way (except as an integral part of an authorized copy of material appearing in these web pages), without the prior written consent of FWHV.
