Making Every Day Count For Holocaust Survivors

Every day, we work to honor a sacred promise: that Holocaust survivors will never again face hardship alone.

Founded by survivors themselves, for their fellow survivors, our organization embodies the strength and resilience of those who lived through one of humanity’s darkest chapters.

As Israel’s largest organization dedicated exclusively to supporting Holocaust survivors, The Foundation for the Welfare of Holocaust Victims stands as a living bridge between our past and our future.

Our Board of Directors consists of Holocaust survivors and the children of Holocaust survivors, serving as a volunteer force carrying forward a deeply personal mission.

Through partnerships with the Authority for the Rights of Holocaust Survivors and the Claims Conference, we provide essential nursing care and crucial support services.

Our Mission:
Comfort Through Comprehensive Care

Every survivor’s journey is unique, which is why we’ve created a holistic support approach. Our interconnected programs address the full spectrum of survivors’ needs, from essential healthcare to emotional well-being.

We’re doing everything we can to ensure survivors live their remaining years with peace of mind and connection with others. While essential nursing care is supported through our partnerships with the Authority for the Rights of Holocaust Survivors and the Claims Conference, many crucial needs remain. Material assistance, social support, and community programs rely on the generosity of donors who understand that every survivor deserves not just basic care, but to thrive.

Nursing Care

We bring compassionate nursing care into survivors’ homes, allowing them to age in familiar surroundings.

Material Support

Through material support, we ensure their daily needs are met with respect and understanding.

Volunteers

Our nationwide network of volunteers creates meaningful social connections to eliminate loneliness.

Social support

Our dedicated social support team helps navigate life’s daily challenges—from paperwork assistance to emotional support.

Medical Services

We facilitate survivors’ access to medical services through our collaboration with the “Lemaanam” NGO.

"Supporting Holocaust survivors is one of the most sacred responsibilities we have as Israelis and as Jews. It's my honor to lead this vital work, ensuring that every survivor receives the care and respect they deserve in their golden years."

For Limor Livnat, leading the Foundation is deeply personal. As a seventh-generation Israeli whose grandmother lost most of her family in the Holocaust, she brings both political experience and heartfelt dedication to our mission. After serving as Israel’s Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, and Minister of Communications, she chose to devote herself to ensuring Holocaust survivors experience fulfillment and well-being throughout their lives.
